Family Programming

At Adat Shalom, we are dedicated to creating a vibrant environment where Jewish families can connect, build relationships, and engage in programs that celebrate our rich culture, values, and traditions.

Recognizing the wealth of role models within our community—from clergy and educators to parents—we strive to empower families to create meaningful Jewish experiences both at home and within the synagogue.

Shabbat Family Programming:

  • Childcare: Every Shabbat, childcare is available starting at 9:30 a.m., allowing parents to participate fully in services while their children are cared for in a nurturing environment.
  • Mini-est Minyan & 2Cool4Shul: Beginning at 10:30 a.m., these engaging programs offer age-appropriate services and activities designed to make Shabbat enjoyable and meaningful for children.

Family Learning Opportunities:

  • Challah Baking for Chesed: Families come together to bake challah, fostering a spirit of giving and community support.
  • Teacher-Led Educational Sessions: Our educators provide interactive learning experiences that deepen understanding of Jewish traditions and values.
  • Immersive Israel Playscape: Opening in Fall 2024, this innovative space will offer family-focused, Israel-themed educational activities, bringing the spirit of Israel to our community.

These programs are generously endowed in memory of Oscar and Jeanette Cook, reflecting their commitment to fostering Jewish family life and learning.
